WHY I’M RUNNING:
Politics has become a zero-sum game, separating friends and neighbors. Polarization has left little room for dialogue and debate. We need to come together and foster trust towards a common vision of shared values. That which divides us must not define us. “Meet me in the middle” does not mean the abandonment of personal conviction; rather, the invitation to conversation, recognizing our shared values, and compromising when possible.
PRIORITIES:
- FREEDOM TO BELONG: Every person deserves affirmation to thrive as the truest form of themselves.
- COVID-19 COMEBACK: We need rural economic solutions; empowering and strengthening our industries and resources.
- ACCESS TO HEALTHCARE: Access is limited, cost is unaffordable, and healthcare workers are burned out. We need someone from the trenches to help reimagine healthcare.
- AFFORDABLE HOUSING: We need bipartisan, non-metro-based solutions, allowing our children to live in our community in the future.
- PUBLIC EDUCATION: It’s time to give our youth the education and support they need by revamping the funding structure.
- REINVESTMENT IN PUBLIC SAFETY: We must upport law enforcement by resourcing mental health and addiction access, creating shelter for those experiencing houselessness, and equipping officers with the training they deserve.
- SOLUTIONS FOR AGRICULTURE: Decisions should be made by farmers and farm workers in our rural community. It will take a member of the super majority to challenge the super majority for a seat at the table.
