Helping Working Families

I grew up in poverty. I’ve experienced what many working families are going through.
This session, we invested:

  • $100 million: Expand Childcare;
  • $300 million: Healthcare Access;
  • $200 million: Workforce Development.

We must continue these investments, expand tax credits for working people, and lower the cost of living.

Supporting Small Businesses

As an ambassador with the WashCo Chamber, I’ve helped small businesses survive and thrive.
This session, I co-sponsored:

  • $15 million Economic Equity Investment Program for small business owners and entrepreneurs.

We must promote partnerships between Business Oregon, chambers of commerce, and nonprofits.

Assisting Students and Teachers

As president of Hillsboro Schools Foundation, I’m committed to helping students and teachers.
This session, we provided:

  • $300 million: Reduce teacher burnout; Hire more substitutes.

We need more resources and emphasis on career readiness.

Addressing Homelessness and Housing

As a volunteer, I’ve worked to address youth homelessness.
This session, we provided:

  • $400 million: Build and maintain affordable housing; Encourage homeownership;
    Address homelessness.

We must revise our tax code to provide sustainable resources to prioritize affordable housing.

Keeping Our Communities Safe

I’m committed to keeping Hillsboro safe.
This session, we delivered:

  • $20 million: Violence Prevention
  • $14 million: Crime Victims
  • $150 million: Mental Health Services

We must sustain and expand these investments.
