Jordan Gutierrez: Taking A Stand for Working Families
Neighbors,
Crooked politicians and moneyed special interests are turning our State into a drug addled, crime ridden, overpriced and over-taxed, homeless camp. Despite claims the economy is “strong”, it is clear to most everyone paying attention that it is not.
Food prices, rents, healthcare, and energy costs are surging far beyond what citizens can afford, and the economy is running on fumes with anemic wage growth despite “low” unemployment!
This economic uncertainty has been made more noticeable by a stark decrease in livability across our State. Many citizens, having been faced in recent years with record lawlessness, homelessness, and drug abuse have chosen to give up and leave our State altogether.
We deserve better than this!
It’s time for new ideas, new perspectives, and a new generation to join Oregon’s legislature to provide the people of our district with a real choice, not empty promises.
I would be humbled to earn your vote. -Jordan Gutierrez
As your next Representative, I will:
• Bring youth, energy, and new perspectives to our State Legislature.
• Introduce legislation to expand Oregon Health Plan eligibility to EVERY Oregonian and require insurance companies to fully cover prescription drugs, mental health, vision, dental, long-term care, and chiropractic.
• Fight efforts by Wall Street Hedge Funds and Portland Slumlords to expand Urban Sprawl, and the problems that come with it, to our productive, sustainable agricultural lands in Washington/ Columbia Counties.
• Work to reform the broken tax system by bringing back lost working-class tax deductions and ending marriage tax discrimination.
• Support increased funding for Jail Beds and Rehabilitation, So Judges have the tools to get crime and drug addiction under control.
• Stand against ANY effort to weaken the rights of workers!
