Our future depends on new voices in Salem, pushing for state policies that work in rural areas. My platform reflects issues that most threaten the health and future of our communities: our land, our economy, and our people. My campaign will focus on tackling these issues which directly affect us all:

• Housing: Our housing crisis is an outcome of the increase in the cost of living, including housing prices. Increased rents and mortgages not only lead to homelessness, but also keep countless hardworking people in fear of their financial stability. Tackling the housing crisis means provide housing to those who are currently without shelter, while passing legislation ensuring housing is affordable for all.
• Sustainability: We urgently need to take action to secure a future for our communities from fire and extreme weather. We must change our land management to focus on long term sustainability and resilience. Local natural resources should benefit local people, and we must ensure these resources will continue to benefit generations after us.
• Education: Public institutions, including our department of education, are under threat across America. I will work to secure enough funding for public schools to ensure a quality education for all.
• Workers’ Rights: Life has only gotten more expensive for most working people in America. We are suffocated by the cost of housing, medical bills, groceries, and gas; all while wages have barely risen and benefits have been slashed. I will work to ensure that healthcare is available to all. I will work to fight corporate greed and bring down the cost of living. I will work with unions to ensure hardworking people can live the lives they deserve.
