April knows that government isn’t working like it should for kids and families in our community. As a mom, a community organizer, and a Director on the North Clackamas School Board, she’s ready to change that.
As our State Representative, she will keep fighting for real solutions for working families:
Secure Funding for Public Schools
With three kids in public school, April knows we need responsible investments in public education to support our classrooms. She will champion recruiting and retaining highly trained educators, strengthening mental and behavioral health supports for students, supporting special education, and reducing class sizes.
Address Our Housing and Addiction Crisis
We need to bring down the cost of housing for Oregon families and connect people who are unhoused to shelter and services. April supports investments in housing at every income level and expanding access to mental health care and substance abuse treatment.
Defend Reproductive Health Care
When extreme politicians try to control our bodies and our lives, April will defend the right to safe and legal abortion here in Oregon.
Protect Our Environment
Our state’s wild places belong to every Oregonian. April will protect our environment, address climate change while creating quality green jobs that can’t be outsourced, and mitigate the risk of wildfires and extreme weather.
