As a first generation American raised in Southern Oregon, I have lived the real challenges Oregonians face today: rising costs, housing affordability, and access to quality health care. I’ve spent a decade in this community advocating for these issues. As a legislator, I am proud to have delivered concrete results to address them. I will continue to fight for our community in the State Senate.

Tackling Rising Costs of Living: 

• Expanding affordable childcare
• Creating living-wage jobs
• Addressing food insecurity and increasing nutrition programs
• Advocating for more affordable utilities
• Increasing consumer protections

Addressing Oregon’s Housing Crisis: 

• Increasing our affordable housing supply
• Addressing chronic homelessness
• Preserving existing low-income housing
• Ensuring renters can afford and remain in their communities

Supporting Safe and Thriving Communities

• Championing transportation solutions like access to public transit, sidewalks, better lighting, and bike lanes to reduce carbon emissions, alleviate traffic congestion, and enhance pedestrian safety.
• Incentivizing a green economy that creates sustainable and living-wage jobs
• Strengthening climate protections that preserve Oregon’s natural resources
• Investing in our public safety system to protect and support our communities

Expanding Affordable Healthcare Access:

• Increasing access to medicaid services
• Growing our healthcare workforce
• Protecting and expanding access to abortion and comprehensive reproductive health care
• Lowering the cost of prescription drugs
• Investing in behavioral health care and addiction treatment
