Achieving the American Dream
Lori grew up in a farm community and became the first college graduate in her family. She settled in Happy Valley with her husband, Shawn, where they raised twin daughters. They founded an anesthesia management company and several mental health clinics throughout the Pacific Northwest. In 2023, Lori became the first Republican Latina to represent Oregon in Congress.
Improving Public Safety
Lori has supported law enforcement and backed tough-on-crime policies to get fentanyl out of our communities. She has also voted to secure the border and disrupt drug smuggling and human trafficking.
Providing Relief from Soaring Prices
Lori helped pass legislation that would cut red tape to lower energy costs. She also voted for tax relief to make life more affordable for Oregon families.
Supporting Our Nation’s Military & Veterans
Lori has prioritized supporting servicemembers and veterans, backing the largest pay raise for troops in decades. Her HOME Act passed the House, which would help reduce homelessness among veterans.
Expanding Access to Women’s Healthcare
As a mom of twin daughters, Lori has fought to expand access to healthcare for women. She introduced bipartisan legislation to make infertility treatments more affordable and is a leading cosponsor of a bill to expand over-the-counter contraceptives.
Combating Communist China & Protecting National Security
To counter Chinese and Russian aggression, Lori helped establish framework for a critical national security package that was signed into law, providing support for democratic allies like Taiwan and Ukraine.
Working to Stop Tolling
Lori has led the federal charge to prevent tolling from moving forward on Oregon’s freeways.
