As your State Senator for District 21, I have a 10-year record of successfully passing progressive legislation and am dedicated to continue serving our community in Salem.

Strengthening Public Schools

I served on the committee that traveled statewide to build consensus around a historic increase in school funding through the Student Success Act. I will continue to ensure that schools have the necessary resources to create opportunities for all.

Protecting Working Families

Working families are the foundation of our communities and deserve leaders who will work hard to ensure they thrive. I led the fight for fair workweeks, access to sick time, extending overtime pay to farm workers, and created Oregon’s first Paid Family and Medical Leave program.

A Healthy Environment

I believe climate change is the issue of our time. I will continue to fight for a clean energy future for Oregon and the health of our air, water, and ecosystems.

Opportunity, Equality, Choice

Amid the current backdrop of partisanship, I won a unanimous vote in the Oregon Senate to establish the Equal Pay Act, the country's most progressive equal pay law. I will fight for affordable housing and to expand services for homelessness, addiction, and mental health. I will continue to work to remove barriers to ensure opportunity for all and fight for a woman’s right to choose.
