Small Business Owner
Michael Summers is a third-generation, local, small business owner. He has created and sustained family wage jobs in our community. Central Oregon needs a small business owner in Salem to advocate for more free enterprise, lower taxes, and less senseless regulations. Oregon should return to being an attractive place for existing businesses to grow, and new businesses to start.
Involving Parents in Education
As Chair of the Redmond School Board, Michael has united the district around what is best for students, families, teachers, and the community. He believes that good governance comes from collaborative efforts with good faith partners to bring the community together. His focus continues to be on the success of our students and being a voice for parents on the Redmond School Board.
Advocating for the Vulnerable
As a loving husband, and father of four daughters, Michael knows family and community matter. Michael will advocate for our veterans who are often forgotten or left behind. He also supports policies that allow seniors to continue to be financially and physically independent.
“Political division has turned neighbors into enemies. Instead, we need constructive conversations and collaboration. As your Senator, I will listen to you and lead for Central Oregon and its values: faith, family, and of course, freedom.” — Michael Summers
Endorsed by Senate Republican Leader Tim Knopp
“Michael Summers is a proven leader in Central Oregon. I couldn’t be more proud to endorse him in this pivotal campaign. Now more than ever, we need him in Salem. Michael is a conservative voice that will represent all of Central Oregon.”
