Educational Background: Portland State University, BA History
Prior Governmental Experience: None
As a first generation college student born and raised in Oregon, I have dedicated my life to supporting the healthcare of our most vulnerable. I will bring a common sense approach to Salem that prioritizes our community’s needs–for my family and yours.
More Housing for More People
Oregonians are struggling to pay rent or afford a home. I will prioritize building all types of housing and help seniors age in place without compromising our Urban Growth Boundaries.
Affordable and Accessible Healthcare
As a healthcare professional, I know the system can be frustrating. I will work to reduce healthcare costs, and expand coverage and access for rural Oregonians.
Stronger Economy with Better Jobs
I will take steps to strengthen our local economy and lower costs. By investing in community colleges and expanding apprenticeships, we can create more pathways to good-paying jobs.
Safeguarding Our Way of Life
It’s crucial to adopt forward-thinking approaches to conserving and protecting our outdoor spaces. I will work to ensure that they continue to drive our economy, while also remaining a place of recreation.
“Nick is a very engaging, informed candidate, whose passion for the issues of affordable housing, the environment, access to meaningful healthcare, and living wages is quite apparent.”
