My opponent Rep. Yunker is a MAGA Republican who has little respect for minority rights, and would not help us economically in Salem. Unlike Yunker I support civil rights for all, and realize that Josephine county is one of the poorest counties in the state and needs economic help desperately. Rather than seek more taxes from a financially depressed population, I will urge the state to fund programs that will help Josephine county.
The Democrats of Josephine county have not been represented at the state level for years. I aim to change that. My campaign will be one of compassion and truth, to gain the support of moderate Republicans and non-affiliated voters.

I am a Rare Democrat with LIBERTARIAN leanings.
- I support lower taxation as your state representative I will fight for lower taxation on a state and local level. Josephine County is one of the poorest counties in Oregon. Average income is just above the poverty line. We simply cannot continue to financially burden seniors, fixed income and those struggling to make ends meet.
- I support less regulations to stimulate our economy. State and local officials need to impose less restrictions on business and induvial citizens.
- I support land use and private property rights. “Your home is your castle.” Government needs to understand that and stop over regulating. I support property rights if you are respecting the environment. What you do on your property is your right.I will work against bureaucracy, seeking to lesson your rights.
- Homeless Solution. We have a huge homeless problem and housing cost are too high. We must allow rural housing and change land use requirements. I support more programs aimed at addressing drugs and mental illness
- Limited Government. A government that governs least governs best. However, government protect citizens from fires, floods, pandemics and whatever threatens “life, liberty and the pursuit of happiness.”
