Educational Background: Roosevelt High School, Portland Community College Business Administration, Concordia University Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Marketing; Western Governors University; MBA, Business Administration

Prior Governmental Experience: Enlisted in the Oregon National Guard, then United States Army Reserves from 1990 to present, rising from rank of private to Colonel, and still serving. Servant Platoon Leader, Company Commander, Battalion Commander and also served at US Army Corp of Engineers in Portland as Division Operations officer.

I have served with the US Army Corp of Engineers in Portland, collaborating with local, state, and federal agencies developing “Continuity of Operations” plans to prepare for a wide range of natural disasters.

Safer Neighborhoods

Oregon’s drug decriminalization experiment taught us that access to treatment alone is not enough to help people out of addiction. Addressing public drug use, homelessness, and community crime needs leadership. I’m committed to cleaning up our neighborhoods.

Improved Roads in East County

Oregonians are dealing with the consequences of inflation and supply chain disruptions making aspects of life more expensive. Meanwhile, our state government has an enormous budget that often fails to deliver for East County. ODOT is under-funded, making our roads more dangerous; These failings should not be addressed by asking you for more tax dollars. I’m committed to bringing oversight and accountability to our state’s agencies. I’ll find money to fix our roads.

Make Housing Affordable Again

Oregon’s strict land use regulations and ever-increasing building requirements have artificially increased the cost of homeownership for decades. We need to ease land use restrictions and bring back reasonable but safe building codes to ensure that all families in our community are able to own their own homes.
